Because part of the brief for the poetic documentary is that no sync-sound is allowed, we plan to get around this by using the abstract effect as found in Tarantino's 'Natural Born Killers'. The use of black and white, combined with slow motion is an interesting editing technique, and something that we plan to use when our contributor is answering his interview questions (which will also be used as a voiceover).
I think that this will work well in our film, not only because it is a creative element, but it will help the audience to focus on the subject, and with it being black and white, nothing will distract from him.
