Buskers: Photographic Research

Using the website Pinterest.com, I have been able to complete mood boards to form inspiration for my Poetic Documentary Exercise. Pinterest uses other peoples (and your own) photographs and makes them accessible to anyone, allowing you to 'repin' photos onto a board of your own. Below is a copy of the mood boards I have created:

Clearly, my mood board of unconventional buskers is significantly bigger than the other, and I think this is because no one wants a picture of something boring and conventional (what I would class as your standard, young male with a guitar). I think that people like to remember the 'wild' and 'creative' images and this is why we want to use 'Happy Keys' as the busker in our piece. What makes 'unconventional' buskers different from those you see every day, is the story they tell, be this through their music, style or expression. I think that what has drawn us to this particular busker, is his wanting to know his background, and why he did what he did. It is much more about the busking. We plan to focus on his reasons for being their and what made him start doing it in the first place.
